jetboat trips for the spring

Saturday, December 15th, 2012

Capt. Charles is wrapping up his 30 day fishing and surfing adventure in Panama. The 2012 season was amazing in both Montana and Wyoming. The Bighorn River produced some great fish and amazing days for our anglers. We are looking forward to the upcoming 2013 season with great anticipation. Spring is right around the corner for us here in Thermopolis, Wyoming. We usually get cranking around the last week of feb or beginning of March if the weather permits. This early fishing is some of the best we have. Steve Beaz is ready and pumped for another season as well. Remember we offer Jetboat trips in both Montana and Wyoming which is truly a fun and enjoyable way to fish our fisheries. Let us know about your 2013 trip!

A beautiful Rainbow from the Yellowstone River

Sorry for the lack of updates. We have been on the river every day. Capt C. has been guiding in Montana and will be returning to guide for the month of September and October. Steve Beaz has been out on the Bighorn River and recently just put up a 23″ rainbow on top! The MOSS is dying off and fishing has remained consistent. Terrestrials are the name of the game for those that enjoy ┬áthe dry fly. Bobbers are working but……..thats another story. Streamers have been taking some big fish throughout the entire river system.

The Statepark stretch below Boysen has been fishing well and is always an option. Standard Tailwater fair. UV Czech, Blooms Weight Fly, Tailwater Tiny. Midge. Scud. Some are running the short leash in the afternoon and doing well. You do not need a ton of weight. Get after it. The river is fishing all the way from the dam to below town. Give us a call if you want in. 307.438.0740

another one bites the dust!

Capt. C has been fishing the Northern California tributaries for steelhead and not looking back at the snow. Looks rough! Wyoming is in full winter mode  but if you can handle the cold floating the wedding of the waters can really produce this time of the year. We are offering our winter/spring driftboat special for $350! Give us a call about your next Wyoming fishing adventure! 307.438.0740 We also offer trips in Southwestern Montana. Check out our friends from up north. http://www.lonepeakoutfitters.com

an update at last

Saturday, May 7th, 2011

Sorry for the lack of updates. We have been busy in both Montana and Wyoming guiding. Flows are up on the Wind River and the streamer fishing is rapidly improving. Nymph fishing at the wedding of the waters has been solid. The key is long leaders and generous amounts of weight. The short least has been the ticket in the afternoon. Baetis, scuds, and more baetis have been the key to success. Firebeads have been hot as well. Thanks to Headhunters Fly Shop on that tip. Do not forget our May and June Jetboat Special that we are running below Boysen Dam on the Wind River. Big browns, bows and cutts all on big streamers. Give us a call at 307.438. o740
