jetboat trips for the spring

Saturday, December 15th, 2012

Capt. Charles is wrapping up his 30 day fishing and surfing adventure in Panama. The 2012 season was amazing in both Montana and Wyoming. The Bighorn River produced some great fish and amazing days for our anglers. We are looking forward to the upcoming 2013 season with great anticipation. Spring is right around the corner for us here in Thermopolis, Wyoming. We usually get cranking around the last week of feb or beginning of March if the weather permits. This early fishing is some of the best we have. Steve Beaz is ready and pumped for another season as well. Remember we offer Jetboat trips in both Montana and Wyoming which is truly a fun and enjoyable way to fish our fisheries. Let us know about your 2013 trip!

big browns, bigger water

laramie with a big streamer brown

another big streamer eater

The Wind River is currently flowing high at 5200 cfs. Nymphing has become difficult but streamers with enough work and dedication have been producing big time for us. We usually catch some of our biggest browns this time of the year. High water pushes the big fish to the bank and we saw enough big chasers and had enough hooks ups to confirm it. Wedding of the Waters has mud coming in at Buffalo Creek but it remains fish-able. Our recommendation is to float from WOW to the Hot Springs State Park. Give us a call we have openings until the 16th of June! 307.438.0740

winter fly fishing wyoming

Monday, February 28th, 2011

toughen up its worth the pain. some people have been putting up some big #’s of wild fish below boysen. ¬†got a report from our wedding of the waters specialist who headed to the state park…

From Steve: Quality time fishing the State park section of the wind river yesterday. Fish are moving into the riffles. Pre-spawning activity and are HUNGRY. Caught nice assortment of wild fish, 16 – 26 inches. Two Cutt-bows. Water is CRYSTAL CLEAR. I could see fish in water over 10 ft deep. Some stealth required. Only bad news, thermometer dropping again, severly. Rumor has it that Bur Rec will start increasing flows as soon as the ice is off the river north of Thermopolis. should make for some outstanding spring fishing. Respect the Redds, wade someplace else!!

the best part about this report??? not ONE broodstock caught. all wild rainbows… get after them with this warm up. fish are eating the standard winter fair and have yet to key in on eggs yet. this should change in a few weeks. stay warm and fish hard. tight lines

wind river canyon fishing report

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

salad is present. so are big fish. bobber rig will get them. streamers are always a good bet. dont be afraid to toss the attractors and hoppers as well. this fishery will keep you entertained. saw two october caddis this morning in the bathroom. wild. get out after them. fishing pressure is down with the elk and antelope archery seasons being open. the rivers will only continue to see less pressure once rifle season opens. we cannot wait. looking forward to a fun fall fishing the green above flaming gorge.
