steve beaz our wedding of the water specialist guided monday and was rewarded with some amazing fish. these two clients were stoked to get fish on streamers, nymphs, and most importantly dries. steve b has a nack for hunting heads and is constantly catching big fish on dries with clients. enjoy this freakishly warm weather while it lasts….

wedding of the waters

Monday, October 11th, 2010

was going to float the state park yesterday, but bailed when we saw the rodeo of people up in the park. 3 rec boats, 1 WRWC boat. and plenty of wade fishermen, so we went lower to the wedding of the waters. it was a great choice. there were a few boats on the water, but we let all the driftboats go before us since we had sled. fishing was great in the am for hunting heads. pseudos and a FEW BWO were around. the fish wanted small dries and we did great. fish were rising throughout the day but we nymped and streamer fished in the afternoon. we caught two pig cutbows and lots of cookie cutter rainbows that tugged. the big rainbows were extremely hard to land with all of the weeds that cover the bottom. we lost our biggest fish to the bottom. such is life. the state park is only improving and we will continue to book trips there for the rest of fall. walk wade trips are also available for an affordable price on both the park and the sweetwater. next fishing report will reveal all of the details on our newest acquisition of 6 miles of private water on the sweetwater river… stay tuned.

big fall brown

it has been awhile since an update. we have been really busy on the ranch building a new cabin and putting a new roof on another building. roof looks real good. fished the canyon on sunday and the place was somewhat busy. crossed and rolled double big dries the whole day. fishing wasn’t insane but it was steady. checked out the state park for an upcoming trip and nymphed up some good fish. enjoy the fall fishing. we will
